Scotlands main issue is apparently that they are too small. Second smallest only to Spain - who of course are a terrible team massively hindered by their lack of height

I think he's done a decent enough job in the qualifiers. Scotland are just a shit football team, and they came 1 goal away from getting 2 place in a group that had England who were always going to win it.
The likes of Slovakia and Slovenia are technically much better than Scotland, so I had them down as finishing 4 before the qualifications started. The fact they nearly came 2nd should be seen as a success for such a shit tip of a team.

To be fair he's done an amazing job to get them to 1 goal from the play off game. Especially how shit they are. It's a miracle to be honest. All this bollocks about size is exactly that.

I like.Strachan, never takes himself too seriously, obviously this was just typical of his normal wind up bollocks and spouted at a press conference after his country had just been eliminated hardly proves that he has lost it.
Did a decent job to find 22 players that weren't junkies, alkies and fried mars bar eaters and take them as far as he did.

I like Strachan a great little player he was, i think as most have said he did well with Scotland who with respect have not got much quality to choose from these day's.
Scotland always back in the 70's 80's and even 90's produced some world class midfielders and defenders the last 10 years have been pretty dour for them though.
With respect Strachan talking about height is not absolute pish the worse the skill level in the team the more the team needs to rely on physicality.

All in all I think he has done a decent job with the selection of players he has.
I think a big issue during his tenure is that all the other home nations are doing better than Scotland.
It must of been a huge kick in the nuts seeing England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic all playing in the Euros last summer and at least 3 of those 4 could be playing at the World Cup next summer.

i think this is a coded reference to the fact that Scotland (unlike england, france, holland, etc) dont have a huge pool of black players , a disproportionate number being big, physically strong and fast.
He has spoken about this before
